Procedure To Apply For Umrah Visa From Qatar For Qataris And Expats

2018-Jun-11

The total population of Qatar is 2.7 million out of which around 67% are Muslims which translate into around 1.8 million people. After the Qatar Blockade in 2017 when a group of 5,6 countries terminated all relations with Qatar, there has been a confusion among Muslims on how to apply for the Umrah Visa.
Recently, Saudi Newspapers have published that Qatari Nationals, as well as Muslim expatriates living in Qatar, are allowed to perform Umrah following the procedure described below.
Procedure to Apply for Umrah Visa for Qatari Nationals: Qataris nationals don’t have to apply for a prior visa to come to Saudi Arabia. They can take a flight from Doha to Jeddah and register themselves with Ministry of Hajj and Umrah at King Abdul Aziz International Airport.
Which Airline to Book flight with? As we know that after the Qatar blockade, the operations of Qatar Airways in Saudi Arabia have been ceased. In this regard, Qatari Citizens or Muslim expatriates living in Qatar can take a flight of any Airline to come to Saudi Arabia except Qatar Airways.
Procedure to Apply for Umrah Visa for Qatari Expats: Muslim expatriates living in Qatar will have to follow the below-mentioned procedure to apply for the Umrah visa.

The above-mentioned procedure has been detailed by the Saudi Newspapers but we haven’t heard any feedback from the people who have applied for it.
I would strongly encourage expatriates living in Qatar to at least apply for it and check if they receive any positive response. It does not require any cost.
