Procedure To Check Rent A Car Usage History In Moi Abshir Account
There is a possibility that you might have to check the cars you rented in the history. The MOI or Abshir Account provides the utility to check the name of the rent a car company, number plate and the car manufacturer.
It is important to check at least once after handing over the car back to the Rent a Car company that the car has been removed from your name in the MOI or Abshir account. Otherwise, you will continue receiving the traffic violations related to the car while it is in the use of someone else.
Register for Abshir: You can check the rent a car usage history only if you have an account with MOI website. If you don’t have this account, you should proceed to registration using the guidance provided in this link “Register for MOI (Abshir) Services”
Login to MOI Account: If you already have registered yourself with MOI services, you need to login to your account. The procedure to log in to MOI account has been changed a little bit. You can check this link for the updated procedure “Procedure to Login to MOI Account”
Vehicles I am authorized for: Move your cursor to the e-Service tab, a drop down screen will appear from where you will have to select “Traffic” and “Vehicle I am authorized for”.
All Authorized Vehicles: A new page will open and you will find 4 options there. If you select the option “All Authorized Vehicles”, the system will show you all the cars you have rented so far as shown in the image below.
Active Authorized Vehicles: In order to check the number of rented cars right now registered under your Iqama, you need to select the option “Active Authorized Vehicles”. After handing over the car back to the rent a car company, you should make sure that you don’t have any car under your name.
Car on Lease: Earlier, it was possible that an expatriate could leave the country on final exit without even transferring the leased car from his name, but it is not possible anymore as now it is registered under your Co-Owned vehicles in the MOI or Abshir account.
